Presents
A
Year of Gifting Week 20
Muscular
Dystrophy Association
I've been
involved on and off since I was a teenager with the Muscular Dystrophy
Association and mostly with the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. I used to spend my summers growing up in Las
Vegas with my grandma who knew lots of interesting people. She took care of the books in some of the
older hotels like the Sands, The Sahara and the Stardust; back before the day when
things were simpler. I started volunteering
on the phones each year when I was 15 and had the pleasure of being introduced
briefly to Jerry Lewis and a few other dedicated celebrities, we were all
united in wanting to make a contribution to the treatment and cure of this
disease. Please join me this Labor Day
Weekend and contribute a minimum of $3-$10.00 to provide support to the
families who live with neuromuscular diseases.
Also I'd like to support the vision of the man who spent a good deal of
his life working on behalf of this association.
Even though he won't be in front of the camera he still holds a place in
my heart as a true warrior and champion.
MDA is
the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and
related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides
comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.

knows your weaknesses but shows you your strengths; feels your fears but
fortifies your faith; sees your anxieties but frees your spirit; recognizes
your disabilities but emphasizes your possibilities."
