IMAGINE PEACE FOUNDATION
presents
A Year of Gifting Week 26
The Salvation Army-Volunteers Needed
It's that time of year again and we
will be helping out again with The Salvation Army Angel Tree and Adopt A Family
Program. In the coming weeks we will put up a tree with 20 tags to help
out children whose families are experiencing a hardship. The Adopt
A Family program has a family turn in their wishes for the holidays; an example
from last year is a family who needs towels, pajamas, socks, 1 toy for each
child and a gift card for a turkey dinner.
There are also volunteer
opportunities available and I can get those that are interested in touch with
the coordinator. If you're interested in helping with any of the above
programs or volunteering just let me know and I'll keep you informed.
Here is information for helping with
family sign up from the volunteer coordinator. It's in their office
in Aurora and there is a 4 our time slot for next Saturday, November 12 from
8-12 noon. There are also daytime opportunities
the week of Nov 8-11th. I've been a
volunteer for the past 9 years and it's been a very rewarding community project
to help with. Please join me this year
and volunteer. -
Volunteers
From its inception,
The Salvation Army has relied heavily on volunteers who support its programs.
Often referred to as "the army behind The Army," volunteers play a crucial
role in The Salvation Army's ability to provide quality social services for the
entire community.
Volunteers are
valuable assets in The Salvation Army's efforts to meet the changing needs of
our world. Through the skills and experience they bring to The Army, volunteers
make significant contributions to society by positively impacting the lives of
those they assist. Salvation Army volunteers change lives, uplift families and
support communities throughout our nation every day.
Discover the joy of
giving back to your community: become a Salvation Army volunteer TODAY! Thank
you for exploring the many opportunities to help those in need and enhance your
community as a volunteer within The Salvation Army.
Please take a moment

with people like you to fulfill its promise of Doing the Most Good.

There is the view that poetry should
improve your life. I think people confuse it with the Salvation Army.
